About the Business

There are many different processes involved in floor sanding dependent on the type of wood, condition of the floor, and of course the final finished required by the customer. Some floors will require repair work, filing in, small areas of replacement etc and I am happy to discuss the full process in each individual case. When you uplift carpet it is inevitable that some floorboards will need replacing (unless your very lucky), as it is a habit of many other trades to cut through boards making them look very messy. I will source the reclaimed wood necessary and replace any boards to ensure we get a clean finish.

Finally we would look to finish the floor using either a Lacquer or Oil. Laquering is the most popular option due to its practicality of apllication due to fast drying times, and also gives a hard wearing finish to the floor. Another option is to apply a clear Oil to the floor which gies a much more natural look and feel to the floorboards but drying times are lenghty. Both options give great protection and will last even longer if you follow guidelines I can provide to maintaining your floor.
