Need to re-carpet 2x stairs and upper floor including landings of house

Need to re-carpet 2x stairs and upper floor including landings of house. Want to know square meterage so I can calculate costs. I know the area of the rectangular rooms, but don't know how much wastage to account for, especially on stairs/landings.
