We would like to keep the character or our old oak floor, however it has an old shinny varnish that needs removed, we would like to keep the grain and colour, so a very light sanding only where required, then a matt oil to bring back the original oak. It’s in a kitchen and hallway so it needs careful consideration of the product. The house is listed, anf we love the knots and scratches and imperfections, so this can’t be lost when restoration takes place.
