Leightons

We’re an independent retailer, and we’re proud to say that we are still a local family business. The original business was established in 1934, and in the 1950s was developed by Fred Booker into Leightons Carpets, selling carpet squares and lino. The second generation of the family – Neal, Chris and Suzanne – have expanded the company over the last two decades to become the flourishing retail organisation it is today. We operate from three sites within the local area, offering an impressive range, buying power and value.

The choice today includes not only carpets and other floorcoverings but also beds, bedroom furniture and soft furnishings. Though styles and manufacturing techniques have changed hugely since the early days, our commitment to our customers has remained constant.
