Initially established by Tom Cockerill in 2003 as a two man installation team, The Wood Floor company has grown year on year to become one of the most recognised, trusted and specialist brands in the North East.
In 2013, the company employs a very passionate and highly skilled team of wood floor specialists, operatives and support staff that work together to provide a comprehensive range of products and services to its clients.
This range of all encompassing services ensures that each client can pick and choose what services they require thus ensuring that their project is entirely unique to them and their budget.
All year round we carry out a customer satisfaction survey which allows us to constantly evaluate where we are succeeding and whereby improvements can be made. Our latest results confirmed that our clients chose quality of service over cost and from this, we recognised that returning calls, dealing with enquiries in a timely manner, producing accurate paperwork, providing accurate advice and turning up to carry out work when we said we would were all factors that led to both repeat business and recommendation to others.

I could not believe when my friend from Darlington monthly magazine insisted to visit the wood floor company that this would be the 1. Indeed they were very professional at their quotation. Not pushing for the sale. As the place to install is a restaurant they manage to clean, uninstall old floor and install new in 14h. Prices can't be compared with the 1 stop shop faceless internet sites. Their power is the service. I could not imagine my self trying to save 100 pounds and lose maybe 1 week. Bravo. Overall impression is far beyond 5 stars. We must support our local businesses but will do it with clean mind as they are the best you can find in 1000 miles radius.
I would just like to thank Tom and Chris at the wood floor company for fitting our floors in while Waw was on Holliday she was shocked when she came back but loves them a special thanks to Andrew Jackson who laid the floors fantastic job first class.
We've had flooring in our hall and dining room put down and love it. Customer service is very friendly and helpful also with samples etc.
